The First Forty Years
1994
Just in time for Christmas, the WCA completed the gazebo that now is just outside the tennis courts at the Cali facility. This addition allowed social events to be both in and out doors, weather permitting.
Westador began in the early 1970's, one of several developments in northwest Harris County created to fill increased housing needs in the Houston area.

Westador is a unique wooded cul-de-sac community on FM 1960 in Northwest Harris County with 699 homes featuring an eclectic mix of architectural elevations, including contemporary, French, Spanish, colonial, and Old English. The homes sell in the low to mid 100's. This neighborhood boasts not one, but two parks - each with a clubhouse, swimming pool, and a playground. One park has tennis courts and the other an outdoor basketball hoop. The neighborhood sees that deed restrictions are enforced and a Sheriff security patrol insures safety for residents. Proximity to four major medical facilities (including Houston Northwest Medical Center), shopping, I45, and Bush Intercontinental Airport make this subdivision one of the most desirable in the Houston Metropolitan area.
Westador is about two miles west of I 45 on FM 1960.

Streets
Many of Westador's streets are named after rivers of the world, but others have a different source. Mystery still surrounds the source of some.
A Map listing all streets and major club houses and buildings is included in the "About Us" section.
Board of Directors
Westador Civic Association Board of Directors following the annual election in October. Changes during each year occur as a result of resignation and other reasons, but are not shown here.
